Richard Gabriel

Milan-based Filipino artist Richard Gabriel reimagines footwear as sculpture in If the Shoe Fits. Eighteen mixed-media shoe works and six oil paintings turn function into feeling with wit, color, and Filipino flair. Resin, rattan, terracotta, ceramic, and porcelain replace leather, then meet velvet and fur. Inspired by Milan’s design spirit and memories of home, Gabriel’s crafted forms celebrate imagination, mood, and the pleasure of making.
